Dr. Amir Jafari was the visionary behind Eye, a foundation dedicated to amplifying the voices of refugees and advocating for their rights across Europe. Background and Experience
Born in Iran, Dr. Jafari experienced firsthand the challenges refugees and displaced individuals face. After relocating to Europe as a young adult, he pursued his education in International Relations at the University of Amsterdam, focusing on migration studies and human rights advocacy. He later obtained his PhD in Refugee Studies from the University of Oxford, where his research centred on integrating refugees into host societies. With over a decade of experience working with various NGOs and international organisations, Dr. Jafari developed a comprehensive understanding of refugee issues' complexities. His work took him to conflict zones worldwide, where he witnessed displaced individuals' struggles and resilience.

Vision for Eye of Humanity
In founding Eye of Humanity, Dr. Jafari aimed to create a platform that elevates refugee narratives and fosters understanding between communities. He believed that storytelling is a powerful tool for change, capable of challenging stereotypes and promoting empathy. “Every refugee has a story that deserves to be heard. By sharing these stories, we can break down barriers and create a more inclusive society.” His vision encompassed advocacy and practical support for refugees as they navigated the challenges of integration.

Commitment to Community Engagement
Under Dr. Jafari's leadership, Eye of Humanity established strong partnerships with local organisations, educational institutions and community groups across Europe. He was also an advocate for mental health support within refugee communities, recognising the psychological toll of displacement. Dr. Jafari actively promoted initiatives that addressed mental well-being alongside practical integration efforts.
